Sheila went to the back of the cave and dove under the water hole.

"So," Attollo said, "What did you want to show me?"

Sylvia flickered like she was thinking of disappearing, then said, "Here," she shoved the papers at him.

Faedon watched them from a distance.

Meanwhile, Kate had taken her pups to a small, but comfortable island with a small cave in the arctic, far from any other kinds of islands, land, or civilization. She put them down gently in the cave and made a small nest with bits of moss, fur, and feathers. She turned around, closing her eyes tightly as she extended her wings and prepared to take off.

"Where are you going, mama?" Krystal asked her, bounding up behind her.

Kate took a minute to reply. "Back to the valley, with Sheila and the rest of the team."

"Why are you leaving us here, mama?" Sandy asked, brushing up against her leg and looking at her mother with wide, blue eyes.

Kate sighed, "because, its not safe back at the valley. You're all safe here, Thunder won't be able to find you. I will visit you all frequently, and so will your father, I promise."

"How long will we be here?" Matt asked.

"Until either you're all safe or you are of age to defend yourselves." Kate said. "Be safe. I'll be back in a few days." She brushed up against her pups' fur lovingly, before she extended her wings and took off.

"These are...not mine," Attollo said.

"Attollo, I wasn't lying to you but...I wasn't telling you the whole truth about me and Neptune."

Faedon listened intently, remaining hidden and downwind.

"Me and Neptune...our parents had a really, really big fight. They'd gotten together and written a book with all of the powerful secrets and magic they knew in it. They both guarded it, but one day it went missing and each of them blamed each other for stealing it and betraying each other. But I think...I think someone's set us at each other's throats. Someone other then me or Neptune's family stole that thing, but he doesn't believe me and I will NOT believe that my parents stole it like he says they did."

Faedon's eyes widened, thinking about stepping into the conversation but deciding that this wasn't her place to talk.

"Should I...''

"No, I think I should tell Neptune, if I show him the papers we found he'll probably believe me," Sylvia said.

Faedon quickly slunk off, telling Autumn about what she had heard.
