A black sooty owl flew in the window. "My lord," he said, bowing to a dark figure in the back of the cave.

"Hm?"

"I have bad news," the sooty said.

"Spit it out," the dark figure growled.

The sooty gulped, "Kristina has been freed, Spiritus has been killed, and Shade has been captured."

The dark figure was on its feet in less than a second. "WHAT?!" He screamed, his eyes furious, but deep in them a hint of worry could be seen.

"Y-yes."

Dasha chuckled. "There is no need for the boulder. If she tries to pull against her bonds they will cut her. If she pulls too hard she could take her paws and wings off."

"There's no telling what will come by here when we go to rescue the other guardians," Haylei said, "Kenny is the only one who will stay here, and he can't fight worth crap."

Kenny stopped healing Kristina for a minute and looked at Haylei, "my fighting is fine," he protested. Haylei just flicked her ears in response.

"If you have such doubt in his fighting skills," Dasha said, rolling over, "why don't you teach him how to fight better?"

When Shade awoke, It was dark. Strange cords bond her wings and legs. She pulled against them, and a searing pain enveloped her whole body. She stopped, exhausted.

"We try to," Willow said, cocking her head to the side to look at Dasha, "but his skills are in healing."

The churring sound of an owl chuckling could faintly be heard behind the boulder.

"We try to," Willow said, cocking her head to the side to look at Dasha, "but his skills are in healing."

"I could try teaching him," she said. "I'm a cat like him."

Haylei nodded. Willow preened her feathers before she tucked her beak under her wing.

Shadow and Dasha began dozing. Alana went outside to fly.
