Blythe screamed as Faedon bit her wing and twisted it towards her, a sickening crack sounding. Blythe shredded open Faedon's abdomen with her talons, exposing her internals. Blythe dug her beak in and started tearing, Faedon screaming in agony the entire time as she kicked with her legs. Something in Faedon suddenly snapped as her mind focused on one thing: Surviving this fight. She threw herself up, knocking Blythe back. Blythe lunged again, and they rolled, ending up on a narrow rock that jutted out over the seemingly bottomless cliff of the Valley of Shadows. Faedon jumped at Blythe and yanked out a mouthful of her tail feathers. Blythe winced, but was strangely smiling.

"What?!" Faedon snarled.

"Goodbye." Blythe gave Faedon an almost sympathetic glance.

"To you!" Faedon screeched as she lunged for Blythe again. Blythe dodged, and while Faedon was flying by, clipped off a bunch of Faedon's primary feathers (Faedon has wings.). Faedon flapped her wings frantically, but it was of no use. She fell down, down, into the abyss of the Valley of Shadows.

(R.I.P. Faedon.)

Neptune raced for Blythe, even though he knew Faedon was gone.

Rufus flew over Blythe and a small creature dropped off of him, landing on her back. Dart clung on to her feathers as she turned from green to red and black. Heat radiated off of her, and she spat a mouthful of magma onto Blythe's neck. "There are many kinds of fire, dark owl, and you can't control all of them," she said, reaching under Blythe's feathers to touch her skin with her feet. "Let's see how well you can handle lava burning through your body."

Blythe screamed, grabbing Dart in her beak and crushing her stomach with it.

Blythe screamed in agony, her sternum cracking as she was thrown into a rock. She was knocked out, and began to fall, when suddenly a black figure descended from the sky. He placed Blythe on a safe rock, and extended his wings towards Neptune and Dart. Their vision suddenly went black, blinding them.

Suddenly, Senkah awakened. She had faked falling unconscious, and Thunder had not been able to pump enough venom in to make her actually fall unconscious. She smacked a surprised Thunder away and dove for Attollo, having the wind knocked out of her for a second as she caught him.

Neptune stumbled backwards, trying to focus on something other than darkness.


Attollo finally managed to flap his wings, "S-senkah? I thought..."
