Sylvia scanned the roof for any openings. Attollo dug his claws into a branch on one of the trees nearby. He was nestled in the leaves so only his tail showed, which was almost the same color as the branch.

Tracker guards (pictured below) began piling into the foyer of the castle. "Find all intruders and bring them to me alive," Thunder ordered. His voice could be heard outside.

Sylvia found a loose tile on the roof (Is it a tile roof?) she tried to yank it out with her beak.

The structure was very old, and had obviously been abandoned for a long time, so the tile broke off easily. Helen could be seen racing up a flight of stairs, stumbling slightly as she was running so fast but she quickly recovered.

The lead tracker turned to his comrades, "each intruder has a distinct scent. Use that to find them and bring them to the kind alive." He turned around and began walking up the stairs that Helen just ran up. "You're mine now, varmint."

"Stop at once!" The tracker yelled, but Helen didn't dare stop. She dove inside a drawer in a room, closing it with her paws as the tracker entered.

Attollo stomped at the tiles around the hole. When that didn't work, he tore off more with his teeth. Sylvia slipped in. "I'll follow you when I find a way," he told her.

"I swear when I find you you'll regret it!" The tracker yelled again. "This is a stubborn one..." he muttered. Helen suppressed a snicker.

"I'll just have to smoke it out," the tracker muttered, 3 marble-like balls appearing in his hand. They appeared to have blue fire burning inside them. The smile on Helen's face faded instantly as the tracker tossed them into the room. As they hit the ground they dissolved and released a hideous gas into the air. Helen held her breath as the gas creeped inside the drawer from the crack.

Sylvia flew into the dark room, but saw no sign of the guardians. She almost banged on the locked door before realizing there were guards somewhere. "Attollo!" she whispered to the hole, "It's locked!"
She wondered if the foxes were having much luck.

"Trackers over here now!" Thunder screamed, watching Sylvia from the end of the hallway.
