The life I try to live... and a poem

Desiderata was recorded in the early 70's by Les Crane. I had it on an LP and put it on cassette tape to use in my car. During a couple of rough patches in my life, that recording kept me going. The chorus particularly lends itself to a "singalong" in the car, where no one else can hear you. Very uplifting!

Thanks everone for the kind words. I was going through a very rough period in my life many years ago and was about as low as a person can get. I was going through a box of junk for our auction from an estate I had bought out and when I pulled this out of that box. I sat there and read it.... thought about it for a while, then slowly read it again. I cleaned it up, took it home and have had it hanging in the house from that day forward. It was something that "fit" that period of my life and something I think I needed.
I too think it works. It does for me anyway.
