Chapter Fifty One

As soon as everybird squeezed out of the crack, we flew to the trees to get a bird's eye view.
A neighboring human house had a birdfeeder, and another, further away, had a birdbath, which would sustain us at least until we find wild food.
And if we really couldn't find enough food, we could always take food from the aviary again.
I led the flock down to the tree the feeder was hanging on, scaring away the sparrows that were feeding on it.
"This is where we can find food until we find more wild food," I instructed.
"We're not completely wild yet, we will roost in the aviary until the hens with chicks have fledged their chicks," I continued.
Every bird was looking around curiously.
"You can go explore. We'll go back to the aviary at night, and if you have a question, come ask me now," I finished.
A normal light green approached me,
"I can't fly very well," He admitted shyly.
"That could because you lived in an enclosed aviary almost all your life," I explained, "We can work on it."
"Ok, thanks!" He seemed satisfied, and crouched, about to fly, "My name is Greeney, by the way. I didn't have the most creative mother," And flew off.
No one had questions after that.
Looking around, I probably saw something like Australia, except with all sorts of blue birds, yellow and white birds, not just green birds.
I took off to get to know the place, too, but instead of landing in a tree, I went up high, and hovered the best I could.
There were a lot of human buildings, of course, and some had bird feeders, which was good.
I swooped down to the nearest bird feeder to sample their seed.
It wasn't my favorite seed mix, but I guess it would do.
Being wild had it's disadvantages.
I flew back up and tried to hover again. It was hard. I wondered if any bird could really do it perfectly.
I saw treeless plains, which we should keep out of most of the time, so we wouldn't be so easily spotted by predators, and a small nearby forest.
"Perfect!" I exclaimed to myself.
I landed on a tree to take a nap.
Everything was happening so quickly. I can hardly believe that there's a flock of wild budgies.
And I'm leading it.
