The Lone Egg

I have a little lavender Orpington chick. She is the sweetest little thing, her name is Diva, she believes I'm her momma. If she hears my voice, or even me cough lol, she starts peeping like crazy. There have been nights where I sat by the brooder with my hand in there for her to stand on, peck at or just see it in there. She also has her best buddy "the cow beanie", he seem to keep her calm if I am not near. Oh and she will only eat off of him if my hand isn't feeding her. I have since moved her to a larger brooder, it is kind of like a large play pen with a roof, she is a growing fast. I will be moving it to the main coop, as the nights are warmer now, and she will be warm. I hope she will be excepted by the rest of my girls and Diablo (Rooster) also lavender Orpington, Diablo because his eyes are black as coal and solid. I wanted to post a video of her learning to forage, I seem to be having technical difficulties at the moment, will up load soon tho. MammaT

Aww, that's adorable. I had a solo hatch once too after his sibling died shortly after hatching. He was so much fun to raise.
