Jaz is really my rooster Creamy, but Creamy is the sweetest thing! I love him. He isn't mean at all. And a red sex-link mix.

Chapter 11

"What was that!?" Ethel said frightened.
All our eyes went wide opened. The thing was still crunching leaves and sticks and rustling through the bushes.
"I don't know, but I have a feeling it knows we're here." Pepper said.
"Let's go farther up." I said.
They nodded their heads and we went even farther up the tree till we couln't get any farther.
"It's a fox...." I said
"How do you know?" Ethel said.
"Because from up here the moonlight shines on its orange coat." I said.
The fox looked right up at us. He growled and went to the tree bark to see if he could climb it. He was scratching at it and jumping to see if he could lift himself on a branch. He failed. He seemed so frustrated.
"They can't climb trees... right, Hannah?" Ethel asked.
"No, they can't. They don't have the abilities bears and racoons do." I said back to her.
She seemed saticfied to hear that.
The fox went around the tree a couple times to see if it could try to get up another way. He kept growling and snarling at us and wouldn't take his eyes off us. He stayed and watched us for about 3 hours to see if we would come down, but he gave up and went off into the forest. We sighed. Thank goodness.
"Let's get some sleep, alright?" Pepper said.
We all nodded and went fast asleep.

The heat woke me up. Wow, it was hot out! I started panting.
"I need water," I said.
"We all do," Ethel said back.
"Let's just get down and move our butts to the coop. We coud die out here without water. If we see a pond on our way we'll drink there." Pepper said to us.
We all agreed and got down from the tree looking both ways for that fox. Nothing. We started off for our journey. Being catious for a fox.
"What's that!?" I screamed.
