Day 21. The day they are suppose to hatch. My eyes fluttered open. I looked under me and all I saw was broken egg shells. I paniced, where are they?! Then I looked straight ahead of me and they were on the branchs that the nest was on. I gasped! They took my breath away!
"Girls get over here! Don't hurt yourself!" I smiled to them.
"Mam, mam, mam!" They said in unison.
I laughed and they came over to me. They have already aten their bugs.
The bigger one had black, white and orange. She was a beauty! The smaller one had white and orange with a tint of black on her head. Yes, they were both beautiful girls! The smaller one, I was going to name her Lilly, little Lilly. The bigger one, I was going to name her Rose, little Rosie.
"Mammy!" Lilly churped. "I thirsty Mammy!"
"Ya, ya!" Rose agreed. "Me too!"
I laughed and told them their names. They loved their names!
"Yes my Little Miracles. Let's go to the pond. Don't worry, it's a very clean pond!" I told them.
To get down it was hard for them and they could barely stand up for 5 minutes. They hopped on my back and held on as I flew down to greet Bambi.
"Bambi, meet Lilly and Rose" I looked up to Bambi. She smiled and bent her head down. The little ones went up to her and gave her a hug. I laughed and tears came down my eyes.
"Mammy! Don't cry!" Rose churped.
"Honey, I'm crying for joy and happiness. I'm just so happy you're with me now." I explained to her. "Come on, I'll show you the pond!"
Bambi, Lilly, and Rose followed me to the little pond. We all drank in peace and enjoyed every minute of the nice water going down our throats.
"I hungry!" Lilly jumped up on my foot.
"Well," I started, "let's go get some juicy bugs then!"
Lilly and Rose raced each other to the clearing and they were fighting on who won or not.
I was surely not lonely now.
