Chapter 39
Early morning. The sun was barely peeking. It sure is a great time to leave now. Lilly and Rose were still asleep. I decided to let them snuggle together and sleep for a bit while I fetch the food. Right when I got down Bambi woke up.
"Good morning Bambi!" I greeted her.
She nodded and smiled. I passed her and started to catch a lot of bugs, and I do mean A LOT of bugs. We had to stock up on our long journey.
Just before I got done catching a lot of bugs I heard peeping. I went back up to my nest and My Little Miracles were awake.
"Come on girls. Got a big feast for you!"
They both cheered and rushed down to their breakfast. They gobbled it up before you could say "pudding". I laughed to myself and made them follow me to drink from the pond.
We took a long, nice drink.
"So girls, are you all full? Ready for the next adventure?" I asked them.
"Ya!" The both peeped in unison.
I laughed and called Bambi over to the clearing when we got there. She came rushing over all giddy and happy. Someone was excited to leave.
"Well," I started, "let's head west then!"
And there we were off. Off to another exciting, yet dangerous adventure. I was scared a little bit for My Little Miracles because of all the predators. I was thinking about that fox now. How it stalked us and woud never leave our tree, but I knew it'd come back today so I am glad we left while we did.
Lilly and Rose were singing songs and jumping and skipping. Bambi just stayed by my side and smiled at them.
This was going to be one heck of a journey!
