Chapter 48

I was ending up getting tired. I had a long day of walk. The moon was still high in the sky and shining bright.
Me and my Little Miracles flew up to a high branch in the coop and snuggled in. Lilly and Rose both slept under my wing, it was a pretty chilly night even though it's only the begining of August... well it felt like it was.
I decided to put my thoughts to rest and just sleep.

I woke from someone talking. It wasn't anyone of use, it was a different voice, a smooth and silky voice.
I opened my eyes all the way, I was groggy and still tired.
The girl-the girl that opens the coop for us to scatter about the yard. She gasped.
"Hannah! I didn't even see you last night! You're back!" She was dancing around like a monkey, but stopedp imediatley when she saw something under my wing.
She walked over to me with a confused face. I tried backing away, but couldn't because of my Little Miracles in the way. She then lifted my wing to find a sleeping Lilly. She gasped once more and back away and tripped over a rock. She fell on her butt.
"I-Hannah? You have babies now?" She was still sitting on the ground, mouth open.
If I ever spoke to her, she'd hear clucks. We have our own language, but we can understand humans.
I just stared at her, waiting for her next move. Will she take my babies away? I knew I should have hidden them....
Then she just got up and ran towards her den. I, on the other hand, just sat there, still groggy. I wanted to get more sleep but I was afraid that the girl would bring the man down to get my babies or even check them out. So I decided to maybe just go out of the coop and hide up in a tree and sleep there if she ever comes back. But then I didn't want to wake them up from their peacefull sleep. Ergg... I thought, I guess I can just sleep here and if she came back I would hear her.

IS this based off your chickens? Do you have a chicken called emma, but she died... are you the girl who fell on her butt? or is this completely made up?
