Flower scrunched up her neck and shut her eyes, letting out a cough.

Connor didn't really know what to do so her got up and walked over to Eerie. "Eerie, Flower keeps on coughing. Is that a problem?" He asked.

“It might be.” Said Eerie. “Mint helps. Perhaps you chicks could go get some? I know there’s a patch around here somewhere.”

The three chicks nodded. "We'll be back soon!" Cherry told Ruby and they all ran out of the burrow. They found the patch of mint and pulled a bunch from the ground. They ran back to the burrow with it in their mouth.

“It’s just where I was hatched.” He said. “My mother and father were from a flock the humans let go feral. They roamed the woods and the farms. Sometimes, they would let captive hens out of their cages. The flock grew and grew. I grew up in it. But eventually, the humans came and killed almost all the chickens. I escaped. Ran deep into the woods, near here. I met Cattail there.”

Minerva was quite for some time. "Well, I should get back to the eggs. Let's talk more later. I really enjoyed it." She left and sat down on her eggs in the borrow.
