Daffy turned around to face them. Her face mirrored how she was feeling inside- heartbroken. "I don't want to take care of anyone else. I just wanted to get a chick. A little chick that looked like me, and that would be my baby," she said depressed.

Web's heart broke also, seeing how sad Daffy is. "I understand, honey. It's okay to think about that." Web turned to Ruby. "And she can't try again?" she whispered, not knowing the medical side.

"My egg is tiny, too. That's how they're meant to be! Pullets lay tiny eggs." Said Rain.

Fang flopped down on her back, a favorite activity of hers. "But we're hens now, remember?" Fang said, the weight crashing down on her suddenly.

Ruby looked at Web. She nodded several times. "Oh, yeah! yeah, she can!" She replied. "You would just have to find a mate to have it with."

"We're under a year...and it's our first eggs. Technically, we're still pullets. When you lay again today, which you probably will, it'll be a little bigger, I bet." Said Rain cheerily.

Web's eyes widened, realizing the situation. "Oh..." She turned back to Daffy. "Daffy, do you know any roosters? That you would like to know better?
