Web looked up from preening and nodded affectionatly at Ruby. "The egg didn't work out now, did it. I'll go talk to her. You get back to the chicks, or you can come with me to support her, if you like." Web walked over to Daffy, blinking sympathetically at her.

Ruby nodded and followed Web to Daffy.

Atlas looked up at Flower, "Thanks." He said and dropped his head back down. Connor let out another crow but this time prettier. He was trying to impress Flower.

Flower shook her speckled head, giggling. "Cockerels."

Rain settled in the nest and worked on pushing out her egg. It was harder to do than she expected.

Cherry stood next to Flower, listening to her brothers crow their beautiful crows. She now watched Web and her mom walk out into the forest.

Fang bolted into Rain's nest. "Nevermind, I'm going to be here for you! I'm gonna distract you. Look at this trick I learned." Fang moved her legs, but kept her head in the same place, making for a disturbing image.

Rain panted. Her body pushed one, two, three more times before the pressure suddenly lessened and she felt a hot egg bump into her foot.
She looked down as it dried, admiring the color. It was a pretty peachy pink with white speckles.
"Fang!" she said. "Isn't it pretty?"

Ruby followed Daffy. "Daffy." She called out trying to stop her.

Splash shook her head 'no'. "No thank you. How about you two go?" She asked and put her attention back to her chicks.

"Ok!", chirped Midnight,"Let's go, Dad!"
