Fang nuzzled Rain. "I guess we're practically sisters. Let's see. What did I do yesterday??" Fang looked up at the sky and thought. "Let's see. I went up to my tree- don't do that- and I said the worst curse words I knew-don't do that, Web chastened me- until a tiny egg came out. It was supposed to be bigger. Oh well. " Fang tilted her head. "How about this. I'll teach you some curse words... after you lay the egg. Just kidding. Just go find a burrow. It hurts- kind of a lot- but don't worry. I'm sure you'll do great." Fang leaned over and whispered a word into Rains ear, then covered her mouth. "And remember, I didn't teach it to you"

"O-okay, Fang." Rain laughed. "What color was your egg?"

"It's up to you." She said, beaming at him.

He nodded and tried to push out an actual crow. This time a crow that was better than Connor's came out but it ended quickly. Atlas immediately dropped into the sun so that they wouldn't make him do it again.

"O-okay, Fang." Rain laughed. "What color was your egg?"

"Oh- let's see. Greenish, brownish, whitish, pinkish, bluish, peach. In other words, The Whitest white you can imagine with the deepest, darkest, most richest brown speckles. But it was small." Fang said. "I'll have bigger ones, I know it. " Fang patted Rain on the back, shifting from foot to foot. "It looked like- the opposite of stars. White sky, deep, dark stars."

Ruby looked over to her chicks and nodded. She supposed that they were fine with the pullets that were with them. She ran over to Web. "Web, Daffy needs help." She then explained everything to Web. @the_peanut_coop

"I found a wriggly worm, and I slurped it right up!" Dew told Splash. She still thought of Splash as her mother.

"Yum!" She nuzzled her daughter happily.

Atlas looked up at Flower, "Thanks." He said and dropped his head back down. Connor let out another crow but this time prettier. He was trying to impress Flower.

Web looked up from preening and nodded affectionatly at Ruby. "The egg didn't work out now, did it. I'll go talk to her. You get back to the chicks, or you can come with me to support her, if you like." Web walked over to Daffy, blinking sympathetically at her.
