Flower felt her muscles ripple as she worked to push out the egg.

Connor watched.

"Leech. Ginger. Look at me. Where's your beak? Your feathers, your wings? You look nothing like chickens. Stop lying to yourselves." She said, pity in her eyes.
(Can it finally get through to them lol)

Ginger's jaw ticked. She growled, turning tail and running into the forest.
"Wait! Ginger-" Leech looked around. "Rain where'd she go?!"

"No, you are rats! Eaters of chickens! Rain, how are you fine with them?! How can they understand you?!" She yelled.

"Fang raised them.." Rain muttered. "And shush your big beak, Splash. Do they look like they're trying to eat you?"

Tiny found her old stash of goods, which included an egg she had layed, and some apricots she stole from the farmer last summer. It was under a thick bush. She pushed poshy under.

Web gasped. "No! Where did you see her last." Then she checked under her, to make sure that Smoke was still there.

Smoke heard Daffy. He peered out from under Web, who was sharing a den with Prim and her adopted chick.

Dilly slipped under Web when she heard Daffy.

“I thought she was sleeping under me!” Daffy told Web.

Connor watched.

Flower stood up, tipping her body to deposit the egg, feeling the uncomfortable stretching feeling as it left her body. It landed in the nest without a sound.

Dilly slipped under Web when she heard Daffy.

“I thought she was sleeping under me!” Daffy told Web.

Web felt Dilly. "Maybe- Daffy- she just wants you to stay down, and keep her warm."

She frowned. "No." She muttered. She ran away, back to her den.
