Fern sighed. "Yeah. He's a great little bird."
She felt wriggling under her foot, and looked down.
"Haha! I have a worm, Smoke!"

Fern squawked in alarm. "What's wrong with you?" She shrieked, amber and black hackles fluffed.

Titan was a bit dizzy, and sat on his hocks next to her. He was heaving heavily. “Fern- I- I- Don’t feel so well.” His eyes closed and he rested his head on the ground. He opened his eyes a little bit, “I ate a dandelion- and next thing I know there was a stabbing pain in my crop.” He closed his eyes again. Focusing on his breathing.
