Titan used his little bit of strength to scoff down the rocks, and drink the water. He readjusted his crop, letting out a gasp. And that’s when he felt another sharp pain in his crop, and then relief. He must have caused whatever was inside to come out.
Connor nodded, watching the chicks. He smiled.
Fern reappeared with a beakful of plantain weed and paracress leaves. "The plantain will help any itching, and the paracress with dull the residual pain." She murmured, setting them in front of him. She ruffled her reddish brown feathers, trying to mask her worry.
Flower beckoned to him, leading the chicks outside. (Has Ruby seen them yet?)
Connor followed, behind the chicks to make sure that none of them could run away. (I don't think so.)
Flower gathered the chicks under her. "Ruby...I have a surprise for you." She said softly.
Ruby turned around to see Flower. "What is it?" She asked her, smiling.
"You have grandbabies."
Ruby squealed. "Ohhh! I'm a grandma?!" She nearly yelled. She ran over to the babies excitedly.
"What's a gramma?" Squeaked Thunder, looking up at her with sharp gray-blue eyes. "I'm Thunder. Who're you?"
