Sage walked up to Daffy, who was sitting on the egg a bit outside of camp. She nudged Daffy off gently, and the dropped a rock on the egg. Horrible greenish brown ooze leaked out. The weak, old shell was in tiny shards. Sage looked at Daffy sympathetically, and then plugged her nostrils and walked away.Daffy brought it far away from the clearing. She stopped rolling it and began to walk away... but then, she quickly turned around and sat on it again. "My poor, poor chick. They don't believe you'll hatch, but I know you will," she whispered to her rotting egg.
