Moon tore down the crest of the hill, hoping Duck was right behind her. They needed to get into a burrow.

Duck crashed through the bushes behind Moon, he could see her beautiful silver feathers flashing in the moonlight with each movement she made.

Eerie raced back from her evening walk, diving into a burrow that was probably Sage’s. Where was Toad? She paced in indecisiveness. She could collapse the burrow entrance, and guarantee her own safety. Or she could wait for Toad.
The choice was obvious. She stopped pacing.

Toad looked around desperately, where was Eerie? Where are the chicks? What is happening?!

A figure made its way silently through the trees. It was distorted and large. It muttered under it's nasty breath as it made its way towards TideFlock.

"SNAKE!!" Daffy shouted loud enough for anyone around to hear. She ran into her burrow to hide.

Life story: Was always an odd ball, she always enjoys night walks and stargazing. She loves to sun bath in the reeds.

Toad looked over in the direction, "Are the chicks with you!" He squawked hopefully.

Moon ducked into an empty burrow. “Duck! In here!”
She waited til he ran in and then collapsed the entrance.

Duck settled beside her, panting. Duck's warm breath ruffled Moon's dim silver feathers.
