Ruby poked her head out from her burrow after she laid an egg. She hated rain! It would get in between her feathers since she was frizzled. She hoped that it would stop raining soon.

Splash said no about hatching out the quail egg and left the burrow. She was all done with hatching for this year. She loved the rain so she went outside into it. She started to scratch around in the dirt to see if there were any worms.

Minerva saw Splash. She was getting hungry, so she covered the nest with a thin layer of feathers, and trotted out to her friend. "Splash, I'm hatching eggs! Do you have any.. tips? I want to be so safe with all of these." The hen shivered in the cold. Was that a hint of snow she was seeing fall to the ground?

"Screw it." Muttered Frost. She stepped out into the gentle rain, feeling it trickle down her neck. She saw Splash. "Hey!" She said happily. "Do you like the rain too?"

Daffy hopped off of her egg and gave it a kiss. She then hopped out of the burrow and flew outside.

Minerva smiled at her friends. She was so glad to be with them. But the thought of her cold eggs came into her mind and she rushed back to her little nest, lovingly cooing to her eggs.
