*The Lovely And The Ugly* A wild Chicken RP 2

Mist settled down in her burrow, preening her feathers. Her color had evened out into a solid, shimmery black body with a black and silver chest, plus silver hackles. She continued preening, thinking about how she looked a lot like her father, who she never saw any more.
Atlas got to her burrow and accidentally let out a loud crow. He quickly covered his beak with his wing and looked at beautiful Mist.

Connor nodded. He held up his mate the best he could.
Flower held her mouth open. She could not retch or vomit, like mammals could, so she just let it drain out of her crop.
Once it stopped, Eerie rubbed her back. "What did you eat?" She asked.
Flower shook her head. "I drank from the puddle outside the den earlier. I didn't want to go to the stream and leave the eggs." She said. Her face was as pale as the snow they had had weeks ago. She was still shaking.

Connor put her down. "Oh, Flower." He nuzzled her.

Eerie poked her head out of the burrow, peering into the depths of the puddle. What she saw made her nearly turn green.
"There just so happens to be a rotting sparrow in that puddle."
Flower shuddered. "I thought it tasted bad. But- I couldn't leave the eggs." She said, looking back at her three perfect eggs.

(Ewwww)
Connor gagged a bit. "Flower. The next time you need some water, just ask me." He told her.
