The word "BEAUTY!" in your thread title is key here to why I feel so sorry for new chicken owners who buy this kind of coop at such an inflated price, enchanted by the storybook cottage look and a genuine need to do the right thing by their neighbors.

The research those new owners have done here on BYC still doesn't prepare them for how truly MESSY chickens can be and what that beautiful paint job will look like after some use by the new feathered tenants. With that style of coop also being built with minimal ventilation and access for cleaning, it disturbs me that the enthusiasm for owning and caring for backyard chickens might be rapidly replaced with a "forget it -- this is too much of a hassle" mindset.
