I just have to say, this is the best thread, both roosters and people! Yeah, definately everyone is a winner!!! I am both in awe, and then laughing out loud! Thanks for sharing the wonderful world of roosters!!! The final day of entrees...very nice!!! The boy who won't leave his girls...very cute!!! I really loved checking out that white Phoenix roo too...he's right, he is good lookin'! Maybe if he wins, you could get him a mirror to entertain himself! My biggest hotshot roo is always checking himself out in the mirror (whenever the girls are not around of course)!

My book is called The Love of Chickens, a children's book for the child in everyone. I've only had 10 months to experience the rooster aspects of the book!!! The goal is to have it on the shelves in April. I'm going as fast as I can, but it is over 100 pages, up to 6 chapters now and kind of multi-dimensional with the different ways it will read! Then there are all the photos I have to do, and plus, it has to come out perfect! Here is a link introducing it, but it is a little outdated. http://worldhealing.us/chickenbooks.html The whole thing is still a little sensitive going into world philosophies, religions, practices, and then my own work with the chickens as a combo of the worldly stuff. Then there is also my personal story that I'm describing in a mythical battle of good against evil where the chickens are hard at work helping me in 10,000 ways. Anyways, I'm hoping it will all come together in a beautiful, fun to read, harmonious way that is accepted by people in all walks of life....So as for roosters, everyone may already know this, but they are used for protection worldwide. In some places, they also use black hens...but roosters are pretty universal everywhere for protection. Roosters are also widely believed to rule over time periods...not just the new day, but life phases, or new times. Even though all chickens are consider prophetic, the boys and girls tend to have specialties. Like the rooster on the weathervane...that is for protection from weather, but also to help predict. So everyone with roosters to go with the hens...that is extra good for you!!!
