The making of Quacker Shack.- Bio-Filter is unplanted and the pond is drained. /sigh

The rain just washed all the clay and a lot of dirt into it. I put an edger around it which should divert future rainfall. I'm also hoping when I finally get the plants planted it will be a lot harder to break the dirt apart. Thought I was going to have to cement it but it's ok. Pics will be taken when I get new batteries for the camera. Always happens at the worst time!

That is a bummer. But I'm glad that you can divert the water and that you don't have to cement it.

I know that you guys are having crazy weather at the moment....

Good work on concreting the pond. Your description of the whole experience was hilarious.

So for those cement experts, well stop reading now! Just thought I'd share the humor of my cement experience. See, I was shoulder deep in the pond going nuts spreading cement when it occured to me I was going to ruin my beautiful cowboy boots. So, I took them off. I then decided to just take off my pants too. Hate to ruin them as well. So I'm busy as a bee when I trip and get my shirt dirty. Off it comes. Pretty soon I'm in a giant hole, buck naked. Thank goodness for country living!!

Sounds like something we'd do around here!!
