Simeon laughed "Animals kill each other, and we're just animals. Don't worry, I'll make it quick."
"Actually, we're not just animals. We are far more intelligent than apes, and even apes don't randomly kill each other. And, it's usually only the males that kill each other anyway. If it's two females or a male and female, they will often times just leave each other alone." Maria told him logically, but then focused on the actual situation, because he probably wouldn't actually decide to not kill her based on pure logic.
"And for some reason you'll be better at killing me this time, but how? You literally only hurt my calf last time, what's the difference now? I can still walk easily, and even if you can be invisible you seem to have a hard time shutting up so I know where you are." Maria rolled her eyes, but still paid close attention to him. She was at the point of just up and leaving now, it'd be easy for her to find shelter elsewhere anyway.
