Simeon laughed "Animals kill each other, and we're just animals. Don't worry, I'll make it quick."

"Actually, we're not just animals. We are far more intelligent than apes, and even apes don't randomly kill each other. And, it's usually only the males that kill each other anyway. If it's two females or a male and female, they will often times just leave each other alone." Maria told him logically, but then focused on the actual situation, because he probably wouldn't actually decide to not kill her based on pure logic.

"And for some reason you'll be better at killing me this time, but how? You literally only hurt my calf last time, what's the difference now? I can still walk easily, and even if you can be invisible you seem to have a hard time shutting up so I know where you are." Maria rolled her eyes, but still paid close attention to him. She was at the point of just up and leaving now, it'd be easy for her to find shelter elsewhere anyway.

Due to the fact her neck was covered in metal, she didn't really feel a thing or get hurt. She sighed and started walking away, not really caring about having the axe again. The city was basically still here, surely she could find something.

(Ok) Simeon shook his head. He decided she would be dead before she got any real weapon. He grabbed her ax and walked off.

Maria decided to quickly wander around the city in search of any supplies and such. Chances are she'd find a gun, or something similar. This was the city after all, full of criminals and people who just secretly stored weapons for their protection.
Now that Simeon seemed to not be bothering her anymore, Maria calmed down a little and was less jumpy and agitated.

Maria walked into a few half-destroyed buildings, quickly searching through the rubble. After a while she thought she probably wouldn't find a weapon, but as she opened a dust-covered, chipped drawer she found a pistol.
It was scratched up and dirty, but would still work.
"Yes!" She said triumphantly, but there was one dilemma. There weren't any bullets in it.
Maria sighed, and started searching for any bullets she could use.
