Maria heard something like a gun shot and sprinted out of the way, assuming someone was shooting at her. She guessed it would be best to not get involved, since she could leave unscathed, and continued walking until she found her shelter again.
"Jeez. America gets ruined by a chemical gas, and suddenly people think it's perfectly alright to kill..." She muttered angrily as she put everything she had gathered in the fire pit.
