I tried to file a claim for mine that took 5 days to get 4 hours away. They went from MO to MD to TN. Go figure. They told me I couldn't file a claim, only the sender could. If they don't want to (because they have their money and don't want the hassle) or whatever, then what?

Did you ask the shipper to file? If you file on line I don't think it matters who files. i was the shipper when I filed. The shipper needs to get their express fees back from the post office too. I do that AT THE POST OFFICE. They will give you the money on the spot for guarantee stuff like express.

Well, I received some eggs through the USPS today and it looks like someone had a really good time with them. I was surprised to only find one cracked. I figured when I opened it I would find just a gooey mess.

The chicken poop is too HOT to put on the garden.... you really should let it set for a winter or a year what ever comes first LOL. Some plants might could handle it like corn if you put it a little bit WAY from the plant but it really would be best to let it set. Wood chips don't compost well... I have found that out the HARD way. 3 year of compost piles and not composting. We are trying to eliminate shavings as much as we can.

You can rush the composting by adding quick lime. This is anhydrous lime, lime that has been baked and has some of the water molecules driven out. This is the burning lime. When mixed with compost it rehydrates from the water in the compost. It gets very hot and breaks down everything faster. This is the same lime that is used in Portland cement. You have to ask for it special. It has gotten hard to find here in the South where we rarely set concrete in the winter. At least the last time I tried to get some at Home Depot they didn't have any and barely knew what I was talking about.
