It's expensive. I would say if this is just gonna be s small hobby I would just use some kiddie pools


But wouldn't they prefere a pond that was abit more natural? Also if I did use kiddie pools how many would I need? How deep should they be?

Concrete isn't all that natural either lol. Maybe two I suppose. I find it easier to just go with my gut on a lot of things and learn from experience
 
for my aviary i have a very large troph round thing from tsc . I put a drain in it that opens and closes to let the water out and go down to a ditch out of the enclosure that way there is not much mud, and the place stays relatively clean.
 
There are videos on YouTube that can show you how to set up a kiddie pool to be able to drain instead of having to dump it
