The Missing Heir RP

" I will find you both in a little while."Kira said and smiled at them. She wanted to go and find a horse to use herself, now that she was traveling with them.

"Alright, we'll most likely be at the inn. Be careful, Kira." Aeron said, wondering what it was she was going to do.

Nodding, Karok took his horse and lead it to the neighboring stables. It was common to house steeds near inns as it was convenient for travelers. The sky was beginning to darken and the air was crisp now. Karok shivered a little and held his arms to his chest. "D*** this weather, there are times I wish it to be home. The plains are warm, and our cities have large fires about for comfort."

"How dost one with cold blood live through the winter snows? Light thy self on fire?" Aeron laughed, though he was truly curious and slightly worried for Karok, the winters could be harsh.

"It is at times I wonder the same." He retorted. "My people retreat to our homes and fires when it is the snow comes. In these years, I only have fire and the inn." Shivering once again, Karok hurriedly made his way back to the inn with Aeron. A drink, warm meal and a bed would see him through this night.

When they got back to the inn, the bar maid who was pretty and looked about thirty, was cleaning glasses, the room was all but empty. As they approached, she said with a smile, "Looks like ye scared all my costumers away, thee better drink a lot to make up the that, need a room for the e'en too?" She winked.

With abit of excitement, Karok slid a handful of coins to the barmaid. It was plenty to cover the drinks for Aeron and himself. "Will we need more than one master...Aeron." Karok was still uncertain how to address his new commander, and he still hadn't discussed the situation. He had hoped and been reassured so far that Aeron would not misuse his new authority.

Being seen with Aeron when he claimed that name had made it easy for Kira to get what she wanted and she put the horse in a stall next to theirs. She made her way to the inn, listening to various conversations as she walked along. When she got to the inn she entered and made her way over to the two with a small grin and sat down.

Aeron smiled at Kira as she sat with them, then turned back to Karok and said, "Yea Karok, but I'll buy the next beakers, and there is no need to call me master now, we my speak plainly. With this place so empty, that is..." The wench smiled indecently as Aeron handed her more coins, she then set another round of drinks on the bar top and said, "Call if thee need anything more, I'll be in the back room." She walk away and left through a back door, closing it behind her.

"Now, what wilt our plane be for finding this princess?" He said with a smirk.

"I think it we must survey those close to her.perhaps it is they hold clues. If it is you wish, we may search without doing so." Karok took a deep drink from his flask. Although he don't care much for human drink, it warmed him and was certainly better than nothing.

Kira sat quietly, listening to them as she drank from her cup. She let her eyes roam through the room, watching for anyone else to come in.

"I agree Karok, speaking of those close to her, I've heard rumors; rumors of a duke that spends much time with the princess. His name is Nicholas and he rules over the people of Gladmeir, it's about a weeks journey from hither." Aeron said, a glint in his eye, the drink was getting to him.

Aeron then looked to Kira and said, "I was just wondering what ye left us to dost earlier? If thee dost not wish to tell, I understand of course."
