The Missing Heir RP

Kira listened intently. then when he finished she nodded, accepting the story. She glanced around the camp, making sure Lena was still away from them then spoke as softly as she could to not be overheard "I was going to ask what to call you, but I think sticking with Desdemona is best for the nonce. Our elf make a beacon of the smoke last eve when she thought us all asleep, silver smoke."

"Silver smoke?" He said in the same quite tone, "I hath nay a idea what that could mean, art ye sure it was a beacon? I doth not know much about Elven magic, only Zurian." Aeron sheathed the sword and glanced towards Lena, who was stroking his own Friesian, who seemed to be starting to shy away from the elf.

"Looked to be one." Kira answered, standing with him "But I have no idea what it would be for. The only thing nearby here is that other campfire..." She trailed her words off at the end, thinking "I could shift and scout it and meet you on the trail" She said, looking to him again

Karok listened silently to Aerons story. He had know that Aeron never gave the full truth of who he was but, it never bothered the Zurian. The question of the beacon was more troubling. After trying to let down his prejudice, he was hesitant to assume the worst. "I recall that elves use colored smoke to communicate between distant groups. Perhaps she knows of other search parties and wished to give them a message?"

Agatha only shook her head. Her doubts of Lenas loyalty would not let her believe Karoks answer. But, she would not override Aerons leadership. "What say ye my boy?"

Kira nodded then looked around the area "Dost thou wish for me to scout the other fire and see what it is?" She asked softly, returning her gaze to Aeron.

Karok saddled his horse and awaited the orders of Aeron. He couldn't help but feel a little upset at the possibility of being betrayed yet again.

Agatha mounted her mule and glared at Lena. Despite others giving her a chance, the crone had already passed her judgment.

"Nay, Kira. My thanks though, we wilt all go. A Princess and a Duke should not be hard to catch." Aeron replied, feeling slightly protective of her, which was odd for him. He stood, and only had to think of his steed, for it to come trotting to his side, he mounted it quickly. Aeron did not know of what had transpired between Agatha and Lena the previous night, and would have probably made Lena leave if he had. Lena mounted her mare, smiling at them as if they were all best friends, Aeron smiled back, but only so she would think they had no idea of what she may be up to.

"Let us be off, I hope our quarry is still in their beds." He said, waited to make sure they were all coming, then nudged his horse forward, heading west towards the mountains.

"Odd for a Duke though" Kira muttered then went to mount her mare to follow after Aeron. She frowned at her saddle in thought as they left the camp behind and hit the trail again. Shrugging her thoughts away she raised her head and looked around the area, smiling again.

Karok slung himself into his saddle and followed after Aeron. He couldn't quite seem to get warm, and the air turned more frigid.

Agatha noticed the grey sky and frowned a bit. "Winter comes with anger this year." She shivered and pulled her arms close to her chest.
