The Missing Heir RP

"How wilt ye Zurians fare in such cold? I know Wildfolk art well suited, and so art the elves." Lena asked when she heard Agatha's comment about winter coming. She was unaware that Kira had seen her signal with silver smoke the night before, and had no idea that they were now suspicious of her of it, Lena though she had tricked them well...

Aeron watched the road ahead as the rode, but glanced into the woods and behind them often, feeling slightly uneasy. He had not forgotten about the ominous massage he had received from the runes, but didn't know what to make of it. "Ye wilt find what thee seek and more, for fate, has already found thee..." He pushed the thoughts to the back of his mind, the runes could have meant anything, so he decided not to worry about it.

"Fire stones." Agatha answered bluntly. "One must have ruby to craft. I do not have but, perhaps another does?"

Karok frowned at Agatha for being rude but, certainly didn't mind the idea of a fire stone. Such stones hung upon a chain and could warm a person from within. His shivering body reminded him of reality and he sighed.

Lena smiled proudly, ignoring Agatha's rudeness, "I have many gems, including rubies, thee may have whatever ye need." She reached into her satchel, pulled out a small, ornately carved wooden box. She opened it, and lifted a large ruby up, letting it glint in the early morning light. "We Elves us them as well, for healing, for protection, and for cursing... They art very useful..." Lena said as she rode up beside Agatha, picking out another ruby from the box, and holding them out for Agatha.

Reluctantly, Agatha took the gems from Lenas hands. She did not say another word to the elf, Agatha began carving into the gems so that they could be enchanted and strung upon a chain.

Karok felt a slight drop on his head. Upon looking up, he noticed thousands of tiny snow flakes flittering to the earth. Although he hated the cold, he still found snow to be beautiful.

Kira looked around, watchign everyone. She smiled then looked up to the snowflakes as they started to fall on the band "That will make it harder to track" She said thoughtfully.

Lena sighed, slowing her mare until she was at the back of the group once again.

Aeron looked up, and watched as the snow fell, feeling the flakes begin to catch in his long dark hair and on his eyelashes. "Yes it wilt," He replied, and looked back to Kira, smiling as he saw the snow landing on her as well.

Col woke Naveen quickly, they should have left before sunrise, not at it.
"Col, can't we rest longer? It is barely light, surly no search parties are close..." Naveen mumbled as Nicholas stood her up, then walked her to their white horse, and tossed her into the saddle.
"Nay, my Lady, we most leave, now." He replied, knowing that if Lena and her targets were close at hand, then so were other search parties. He mounted the steed and turned it to the mountains, the snow had already made a rather thick coating on the foot hills where they were, so hopefully, any trace of them would vanish beneath the thickening flurry.

He'd have to send a smoke signal up that night, the sooner him and Naveen met with the High Elves, the better...

Agatha gingerly strung the carved gems about a fine chain. The credit i be held both stones close to her mouth and whispered a Zurian shaman chant mostly used by followers of the fire God. With the chant the rubies began to glow and seemed to be inflamed within. Agatha smiled a little and placed one about her neck. The warmth was instant, and it spread from her heart to the tips of her toes and fingers. "For ye fool." She said with a smile while handing the other to Karok.

Karok wanted to glare but, he clinched his jaw and took the pendant. He could feel the warmth before even putting it around his neck. "I thank you."

Kira wasa watching the snowflakes dance through the air, not paying attention to her companions for once. Smiling softly at the delicate beauty of the flakes she returned her attention to the trail and the woods that surrounded them then glanced around at their group. She noticed the rubies the two zurians now had and wondered about them, having not paid attention to the exchange before since she had been lost in a kind of daydream. Shaking her head to rid it of the fine coating of snow she looked to Aeron then back to the front.

After an hour or so of riding, the trees and ground were thoroughly coated with white, fluffy snow. Aeron heard boisterous male voices ahead on the road, and a group of five men on horseback, laden with weapons came into view, and Aeron almost immediately recognized the dark haired, middle aged man in the group...
