You can't fight me, Jay.
I squeeze my eyes shut, trying to block out the small voice in the back of my mind.
Give in. You can't resist.
What a time to start turning, I think, gritting my teeth and sitting down at my desk. Opening my laptop and clicking the power button, I sit there in temporary silence as the screen loads.
My stomach aches. It never growls anymore, I am past that. After thirty days of no food and only drips of water, my clothes barely stay on my emaciated figure. I know I will die soon. It would be better than to take what the mo-- the voice... offered... Right?
The laptop finally lights up with a chime, and I click on the Internet icon. A knot twists in my stomach as I begin reading the news. More people have been monsterized. Even the president. I sigh, slamming the laptop shut. There is nothing there that would lift my spirits.
You can have everything you want, if you just let me take over, Jay.
"Shut up!" I cry, falling to my knees. It would be so easy. The voice promises no more pain. No more starving.
But, I will become one of them. The same creatures that keep me from leaving my apartment. A monst-- no, I can't say that. Maybe I wouldn't become a monster. Maybe the professionals are wrong about the symptoms.
You're in denial. I take a deep breathe. "Why should I let you take over?"
Well, you're going to die anyway. This way, you won't even feel anything.
"But..." I whisper hoarsely. "There's still a chance that--"
No one is coming for you. You know that.
"I... I..." I kneel on the floor, my head hanging limply. I can't go on anymore... "Can you promise that if I let you in, I won't kill anyone?"
Of course.
After a moment of agonizing thought, I let go.
I feel an overwhelming force eagerly ripping into my mind, and I barely feel my body hit the floor. It burns. "I... thought you said I wouldn't feel anything." I murmur, slightly surprised I can still talk.
You won't soon enough.
As my vision begins to go dark for what I know is the last time, I hear the voice ringing in my mind.
You should know better than to take me at my word. We enjoy the fun we have with your kind. Have a good rest, Jay. I must admit, you held out well. Better than most.
Fear fills my core, and I try to resist. But it is too late. I feel it enveloping my mind, and my body continues to burn as it morphs into whatever the voice is designing.
I am now unable to respond as the voice continues speaking.
None of you can really resist. Not forever...
We always win in the end.

So, basically, the world is being taken over by this monster that starts in your mind. You can be either a full human or a human that is turning into a monster. Most humans will not be able to resist the monster in their mind, so don't make all perfect characters. You can make up and bring in a monster at any time, just make sure you describe it fully and all of it's capabilities, because since other characters will be fighting it, the RPers have a right to use the monster as well.
I hope that makes sense.
In the early stages of monsterization, you can go back and forth between becoming a monster and being human before you completely turn into a monster. If your character does not end up as a monster, they can, if they have the will power (few do), shove the monster out of their mind entirely. It is a very painful process however, and very few have succeeded.
Some people who are monsters can morph with the monster to become kinda a monster shapeshifter without completely giving up their mind, but there will only be four slots open for that(cuz I'm taking one). First come, first serve.
Everyone will start out in an apartment complex that is being sieged by monsters.
Also, we'll wait until we have at least four RPers to begin.
Counting myself, of course. You must have your form accepted if you want to RP.
