Zayne relaxed, the red in his face fading. She seemed nice enough, and surprisingly friendly. The few people he had previously run into were always too rushed to make conversation.
He hesitated, before sticking his hand out. “Zayne,” he replied, giving her hand a quick shake.

Jean grinned. "You haven't started turning into a monster yet, have you?"

Personality: she was a bright child at school and used to be strong and confident. Now she is quiet and keeps to herself. She had a boyfriend but he was killed after becoming a monster. Now she avoids people and hides out in her very safe apartment.
Description: she has waist length brown hair and a health condition which gives her purple eyes, people shy away from her so she has low self esteem not that anyone really cares. Has no friends (yet)
Quirks: she has violent purple eyes that are part of her health condition.
Other: lonely. Needs a friend or two and is missing her boyfriend terribly

"Seriously, Sky. Please tell me what's wrong." Kit said, concerned. Was it because she had turned into a monster?

"No." Blake said firmly. "I came over here to make sure you were okay, and you ended up throwing a shoe at my head. I think I had a full right to curse."

Aisling shook her head. "You scared me. Do you think nudging someone when they're unconscious with a bunch of monsters in the apartment is going to get you a thank you? No. I thought you were a monster. Surely you've heard of something called a reflex."

"No." Blake said firmly. "I came over here to make sure you were okay, and you ended up throwing a shoe at my head. I think I had a full right to curse."

"Also, no one has the right to curse. Ever. Got it?" Aisling asked, hands on hips

Jean grinned. "You haven't started turning into a monster yet, have you?"

Zayne snorted, looking himself up and down for any unusual features. “No, I don’t think so,” he said, looking back at her. But how could I know for sure? What if I’m infected, but not showing symptoms yet?

Fern heard talking outside of her apartment but was scared to see who was talking. What if the monsters were trying to trick her?

Shut up, it's okay to feel overwhelmed. I feel a bit of that myself. Kit told the voice, then she turned to Sky. "Would you like me to leave you for a while to think over things?"
