Go Jesse! Don’t get caught by Wyatt Earp!
I'm more worried about Doc Holliday catching Doc Holliday.

Can't believe nobody's taken Bat Masterson yet for Lawmen, so may I? #10?

I think a lot of you all know me but some may not be aware that up until this year I usually hatch around 1,000+ chicks a year. That's setting eggs every 7 days.
With that many hatches I hardly ever candle eggs besides on day 18 if at all. Man, it's been a long while since I've candle on day 6.
With hatching so many eggs so often sometimes I don't do as well as I should with storing them before setting. Not the perfect temps maybe not turning them as often as I should etc.
Maybe this batch was different because I tried a little more or because they were all collected within 2 days and set within 3.
Or maybe it's because I don't have the experience with candling this early.
Some of the eggs are brown from my chocolate project. Leghorn/Orpington cross. Couldn't see much through them.
All the others I swear I saw veins and no obvious clears. Idk I've never set this many eggs and not had at least a few clears.
Next candle day should be a lot more telling.

May I ask if you sell them?
I try not to.
But inevitably I do have to let some go.
What do you do with the ones you don’t plan to keep?
I don't really plan to not keep them all.
Eventually reality comes calling and before this year I'd just take them to auction.
It's the quickest least painful way to go. That and the volume makes it more time consuming friendly.
I seriously have a chicken problem and a hatching addiction. I just try to maintain being a functioning addict.
