One has d’Anvers and one has some Delawares and Welsummers from Deer Run Farm.3 currently. 2 with silkie chicks (11 with 1 mom amd 3 with the other) and this one with 3 naked necks and 2 red coop mixes.
Mine aren't necessarily smart like a rat or parrot, but they're not dumb like people seem to say they are either
I just don't bother with them roosting. I keep their nest area clean and they do just fine besides that. Of course, David (the male) is a special kind of special, but I could say the same about one of my brahma and my Cornish bantams too, so that isn't too bizarre.

The leghorn is white the oegb is a random light color that has appeared in my flock

The Leghorn chick is from a 2nd year laying hen and the OEGB is from a pullet egg. Its amazing the difference. Interesting tho... the OEGBs are far more active and zip around the brooder and the fatties just lie around and eat lolWow, and the Leghorn isn’t even chunky like the Delaware chicks we recently got.
