I'll most likely be hatching araucanas this late summer/fall. Winter made me lose several, so I'm down to 4 females and 2 males, including my one footed gal (who is doing awesome by the way)

I must confess. I lied to my wife. I told her that I didn’t need 9 new Cochins in my flock. That was wrong of me. I didn’t bother to tell her that, in order to develop the quality of my birds, I have to watch the whole group grow and see the changes as each molt comes and goes. That I should keep them to see the deeper and lighter colors to better decide which would be better to breed together. Had I told her these few details, I’m sure she would disagree with my original statement.

I'm guessing the upper right yellow chick is a pullet.

Reasoning? Or just pure guess?

I hope they all hatch! I sold all 8 BCs that were left from the last hatch today. I have 3 RIRs left from that group and 1 stays here for sure. A well marked pullet. I have a lady coming in the morning to get every one of these RIRs that are hatching tonight.

Caught Chooks and threw him in with the others. That crazy foreigner doesn't want to get along with anyone. SMDH
