I have often wondered about getting rosecombs. There are some breeders around here that have some very nice birds, it wouldn't be hard to get some eggs or birds.

I just don't know how well they would sell as chicks

Me too. I started my big hatch last weekend because so many people want chicks. I’ll collect what I can and finish off with some crosses. Most people just want chickens and don’t care if they are pure RIR or not.

All my birds are exploding feathers at the moment and I have sold off some of my older birds to make room for the young brown Leghorns. Finger crossed they start laying in before winter.
