Oh ya. I had some plain ol yard buzzards in my layer flock years ago. Hardy birds that lay really well.
Had some showgirls for minute. And last but most impressive I did raise BCs for a few years that had NN in the mix.
Now I must post some pics that everyone loves.

Those chicks are 2 of the 7 BCs that were brooded by all 4 of my BC hens. They are the very last ones to come from my pen where all colors were in it together. These chicks come from black or buff roos and black, blue or buff hens. I have some 8 weeks old from the same group that have some beautiful colors but nothing standard. Buff leakage, I guess, under blue and some solid black.

TSC chicks.
Leghorns, Silver Laced Wyandottes, Black Sex Link, Black Australorp, Isa Brown, Bantams (Red Pyle OEGB, D'uccle, Silkie).

I have no new chick pics yet…so here is my picture:


We are down to 13. Hatching with my class as a warmup to my home CCL hatch (& it’s fun for the kids, they can’t wait!) 4 infertile, 1 quitter. Will all be Easter/Olive Egger chicks. Hopefully in 10 days I’ll have some pics to share!

Only managed 1 hatch this year.. assorted Marans and some RIRs to add to the layer pool this fall.. carry on y’all...
