Well, in my case I had only paper towles to put down. I had used the last of mine to try and provide a dry spot in the pen that was going underwater.

I dumped two bags of mulch into a pit of what is for lack of a better term quicksand in front of the barn. It just swallowed it. You can't even tell it's in there. I need a metric butt ton of wood chips delivered to the house.

I'd always heard that newspaper could cause issues like slipped tendons. I usually give them 48 hours in the incubator with the grippy shelf liner and then pop them into the brooders.

My gosh! 48 hours bowling their friends around and playing bumper cars? It’s not some big principle that I stand on, but I have lots of newspaper so I figured I would get some use out of it instead of just throwing it away. They will be in the brooder tonight, eating all the shavings that they can possibly shove down their little gullets.

They are in the GQF hatcher, so not much head room. Sometimes there's some bowling, but it usually turns out okay.
