So, don’t beat me too bad but the brown, reddish bunch are a mix of pure RIR and RIR over buff and BSL. I needed eggs to hatch. People be wanting some chickens and don’t care what they get right now. I’m about to shuffle some birds around to get my RIRs all by themselves.

Crazy here, too. I put an ad on CL for EE/BYM chicks for $3 each for April. In 24 hours, I had 3 responses, all wanting to take all of the hatch. One person drove and put a deposit down, and told me if I do a later hatch they’ll take them too.

I am borrowing a friend’s incubator to hatch more than the 26 I can squeeze in mine.

Edit: most people in NY don’t buy chicks this early in the season.

Wow. I wish I could keep my roosters separated in different groups. The farm isn’t set up for that (yet). I have big plans if I ever get to run things!
