It’s getting down to 57 degrees tonight. I had to put the red devil glow back in the brooder. The ceramic thing is only 100w and the temp was dropping. Wouldn’t it suck to kill all my chicks the day before they were going to a new home.

Dropping down here tonight to. All the way to a balmy 7 degrees. I’m actually excited because the previous forecast was 2 days of 1 digit temps with a low of 0, but it should only last a few hours.

I enjoy 50s but the chicks, not so much. The weather has been wonderful the last few days. It has rained so much we needed a break. I hear that cold weather makes you tougher and I don’t have any problems with that. Y’all are tough!

That's working for me! I had someone message me earlier asking me to hatch more chicks for them

I won’t lie, I’m a bit overwhelmed with the sudden demand for chicks and eggs. You can only do what you and the chickens can do though.
