It's not super fun. I can only do 1-2 at a time before my jaw starts to ache and my seal is crap. Here's the marans pullet egg next to some EE bantam eggs.

The pullet eggs are also thicker shelled usually, so they aren't are likely to shatter in my hand

I blew a couple out a few days ago. Only issue I had was making the holes without them cracking out.
My damn leghorn shells are hardcore.

I was only planning on 2 hatches. No I am doing at least 4. Posted an ad on CL and have 6 buyers. May not be able to fulfill all. One couple put a deposit down, and told me they will take any extras if I do more hatches. The last one I am planning is with my students for our agricultural revolution unit (the only way I could justify to admin for teaching gardening & hatching since it is part of our social studies curriculum.) That one is always my favorite hatch. My student teacher has a hobby farm, and they will take all the chicks from that hatch once they outgrow the brooder.

My ordered chicks come in June once school lets out. So I probably won’t do a hatch after the last one for school.

No, I'm a grown a$$ man. I used a drywall screw. They're super pointy
