I had to stop! Everyone is wanting large laying hens. Both incubators are full of RIRs & some crosses. I finally got permission to keep my last batch of Cochins. I need to see how they develop. And also my wife wants to see the eventual international butt kicking I’ll be handing out.

Yep same here..... I can sell as many Leggies as I hatch. Bantams are a little harder to move on

I have 29 eggs left due to hatch 28th March, then I set 29 for the EHAL and then after that its going to be very small hatches as the eggs have all but dried up

I have 3 orders to fulfill with this hatch, and I think 2 of the people want more chicks from my next hatch too. They are BYM, and all they wanted to make sure is that they were standard breed mixes. I was hoping I would find a buyer or two to do a few hatches, so I find it CRAZY that I can’t keep up with demand! I’ll keep hatching until there are no more orders. It’s fun, and my son is learning how to hatch also. Might wrap up with a quail hatch for one of my aunts in June…some of hers got wiped out by a predator…

Opposite for me! I can sell all the banties I can hatch, and the bigger ones sell to but it takes a little longer

I can’t keep up either, and still have not kept new layers for myself. That’s gonna bite me in the arse, I’m afraid.

Get one of those old school scales. Put $100 on one side and a handful of chicks on the other side.
That's how I figure which is more important.
