This brings up a question.
I know it's possible with dogs. Can a hen lay eggs fertilized by different roosters? I know there's a rejection/ejection response that some hens exhibit when mounted by less desirable roosters;but in your experiences are there Dirty Dianas lurking in the coop that become depositories and they don't care and can get fertilized by more than one rooster?
Absolutely.
This last year I had a project going and towards the end I switched roosters. Same pattern but the second being barred. The resulting chicks would be usable from either rooster and easily distinguishable. From the second all offspring would have barring. From the first none would be barred.
From 3 or 4 hatches I had chicks of each.

Speaking of which (clears his throat)...
@Overo Mare
How's the website coming along?
We've got him taking pics now. So hopefully in the next 5 years I'll have enough for a website lol.

We do need to discuss a website. I'm just so ignorant about all that I have no clue where to start.

I've made quite a few, I'm not an expert by anymeans lol. But I can give you a beginners explanation as that's the only hold I have on it haha. I can't do anything super fancy, but I can get a basic website up.

She switched from chickens to call duck/pigeon hybrids
