You know, I've been researching that subject(wing patch on lavender) for many years, the research is scant and so far inconclusive, but this is the fist time I hear that it's linked to sex linked gold. Most people believe it's linked to the Lavender gene so close that it's quite hard to break the linkage. I myself believe it to be an allelic mutation of Lavender.Do you have any issues with wing patch on the boys in the silver Isabella? That issue is linked to gold, I think, but I'm not sure. Ive noticed it is rare to see it the lavender legbars with the cream gene.
Opal Legbars are just too faded(males nearly white) that's a triple dose of dilution on a gold based bird, well atleast the cream ones, if they are the gold based(without any dilution or the rich colored ones) the contrast is better
