That was one heck of a hatch!

I remember that hatch. It had him waaaay ahead of me for the season.

For me it was. I hatched 43 plus a little broody BC hatched 6. They were way heavy on the male side. That’s why I still have so many. I can sell all the roos once they reach 5 months, but they get expensive to feed at about 2 months.

Still working on switching some pens up. I have my hens and roosters separate so it shouldn't have been a big deal. I have four big pens that are all connected with doors on the inside so I can open them up and make bigger pens or shut them and make smaller pens.
Had it set up so a bunch of hens were in the first three and some extra roosters were in the last one. Of course at some point I must not have got that door closed good so the roosters ended up with those hens.
Now I've got that three week wait for them to be cleaned out. Oh well. I was still working on my chocolate projects. Was working towards chocolate duckwing both gold and silver. I'm going to switch those over to solid chocolate, mottled chocolate and barred chocolate.

2 is a barred silver duckwing
