The Moonshiner's Leghorns

I hope you have a good hatch! I had to promise my husband we would turn the incubators off at the end of May this year. He knows as long as they are running, I'ma put eggs in them. And with school we have to keep it to a minimum this year.

But next year I will hatch all the chickens! :wee
My incubators will be off for about 8 or 9 weeks then back into it :wee

I'll just be getting going by then.

My last hatch will be the bantam Silver Ameraucana I have coming. GypsyHen is sending me eggs from her show pen for my order.🥰

So happy about that.

I'll get some pictures of the whites and chocolates tomorrow. Also some of the silvers hatching if I can get lucky.
Oh wow! Lucky you! The Bantam Silvers will be adorable, I bet! Bantams are so tiny and sweet.

I hope you get lots of chicks out of them! 🙏

I know, I know. Usually, we keep the incubators on until July or August, but with school I don't want to get overwhelmed. I will have to get my chick fix from you after May, so take lots of pictures for crying out loud.

If I didn't hate brooding chicks during the winter, I would throw some lights on a few more brood pens and start hatching again in January after I graduate. But I hate brooding chicks in the winter. One power outage and it's game over.
