It is indeed khaki crele. He's a bit sun bleached or he would look more silver. He is a lovely color though! The ghost barring is beautiful! (I don’t know what else to call it as I am not well versed in all color varieties). Is that a khaki crele?

I have a OEGB with an uglier comb. I mean look at it. It's giving you the finger, lol.

I have never dubbed anything so I'm a bit nervous about attempting it.It looks like it is slinging gang signs or something! Dub that thing and put that poor comb out of its misery!![]()
Do it when its cold with a sharp pair of good scissors. It won’t bleed as bad. My husband trims (dubs) the comb, wattles, and earlobes off close. But in show, they want a portion of the base of the comb left for some reason, I’m not sure why because it looks hideous.I have never dubbed anything so I'm a bit nervous about attempting it.
And there's the dilemma. You just have to get some from good stock.
Move to Missouri. Winter will dub them for you.I have never dubbed anything so I'm a bit nervous about attempting it.
Greenfire Farm has the Jill Rees line that I have, that is where mine came from. If you get the better version they have, they will lay pure blue eggs. They all potentially carry recessive white. And there's the dilemma.
There once was one person in the area that had some but they've since got out of chickens.
I had some when they first came out. Some laid green and I was also getting some of the white chicks before they became a thing. I was breeding away from both but then others decided green eggs should be ok and went about adding that to the SOP they were working on. That's when I walked away from them.
I did like them as a breed though.
I had some from both of their lines. Problem was was I got them from someone that got both but didn't keep the chicks separated before giving them to me.Greenfire Farm has the Jill Rees line that I have, that is where mine came from.
